We had a couple of long conversations for him to get to know us and our relationship. These “zoom meetings” felt like a casual conversation with a new friend rather than an interview with someone just trying to gather information about you.
The ceremony itself was beautifully done. He told our story accurately and with humor. He entertained both us and our guests with his storytelling.
Many guests were confused afterward that he wasn’t at the reception because they thought he was a close friend of ours and they wanted to tell him what a great job he did.

“We found Jonathan Najarian Photography on Thumbtack and we could tell from his page that he wasn't a cookie-cutter photographer. We appreciated that his style did not seem forced but instead he seemed to capture genuine moments with his couples. His shots also showed a great range of environments and lighting options.
We later learned that the authenticity that shines through in the photos is due to Jonathan's relentless pursuit of an experience that's tailored to the couple. Before the shoot, we met with Jonathan multiple times via Zoom, where he took the time to get to know us and our style. He created a Pinterest board for us to save photos we liked, so he was able to get a complete understanding of what types of photos we wanted. He rolled with and perfected everything we threw at him.
Jonathan suggested a "golden hour" shoot the day before the ceremony, which not only yielded great photos but was incredibly fun and put us at ease. His energy, ease of instruction, and attention to detail made the entire experience unforgettable.
Our guests couldn't stop talking about our photographer for weeks afterward. Jonathan was responsive within hours every time we had a question or comment, both before and after the shoot. We could not have been happier to have found Jonathan.”

“Jonathan did a family maternity shoot for us with myself, my husband and our 3-year-old daughter, and we could not be happier! Our daughter started out very shy – she didn’t want to let go of me at all! But Jonathan completely won her over.
He recognized right away that she was a little overwhelmed with the idea of a photo shoot, and he showed so much patience with the situation. He never rushed us, and he just slowly gained her confidence and got her to let him take pictures.

Having Jonathan as our wedding officiant was easily one of the best decisions we made!
He was not only our biggest supporter throughout the journey but he also added so much personality and depth to our wedding ceremony. He made sure our ceremony included all the elements you would want in your wedding - thoughtful, personal, emotional, and fun!
We are so glad to have escaped our original plan of having a city hall elopement, which was scheduled in the middle of a weekday, waiting in line behind others to perform the same "chore".
He is incredibly attentive and crafted a heartfelt and moving speech, which encompassed each of our personalities and left some surprises!

“My fiancé and I were referred to Jonathan and we felt super excited after checking out his website and hearing he was available for the dates we were looking to do the Engagement photos!
Immediately after we contacted Jonathan, we scheduled a video chat to get to know each-other and he was very nice, easy to click with. During that call he was very interested in getting to know our ideas, what we like, what we were looking for & places we had in mind! If you don’t have a place in mind yet, don’t worry he had beautiful suggestions for us!
Before the session, we had another call to check out the outfits and it was such a wise idea, the colors he suggested look 1000x so much better than the outfits we had initially in mind! By then we felt like we were already friends for a long time.
On the day of the session, Jonathan was there on time and he had already checked out the place and knew which were the best spots to catch the best light! I was nervous at first but Jonathan has such a good vibe that even our rescued dog who is very skittish welcomed him into our pack without hesitation! No joking she has never done that with a stranger man.
We had a lot of fun while taking the photos, Jonathan was guiding us as he thought necessary and we are very happy and thankful for how beautiful the photos turned out!

“I had a 30-minute session with Jonathan Najarian Photography to capture some photos of myself with my recently-adopted dog. For a number of reasons, I'm really not comfortable getting my picture taken, even when it's a good friend taking pictures for me. However, I decided to book a session to capture moments with my dog Gummi because I have so few nice photos, and I really wanted to show my long-distance friends a snapshot of our bond.
I felt pretty stiff and awkward at first, but Jonathan took some time for us just to chat and let Gummi get settled around him. He was personable and professional, and once Gummi and I were ready, he worked quickly. I really don't know how to pose, especially with a dog, but he handled all of that very well so I didn't need to worry about it.
He was flexible and adaptable to difficult lighting situations and the unpredictability of working with a dog as well. Additionally, I appreciate that he made sure to allow quick breaks so that Gummi could move and sniff around so she wouldn't get frustrated.
